Happy mother’s day to all the wonderful
mothers out there but especially to my amazing mom! We could not do it without
you all.
This week has been pretty great we had a zone
conference that was pretty good so we were back in Cagliari for a couple of
days. We actually had a pretty cool experience while we were there. Usually
when we go there is something planned for us but this time there wasn't for
some reason. So after our interviews Anziano.
Parker and I were looking for something to do but we were hungry so went get
something to snack on at a store. Then we were sitting in a park snacking and I
saw that the park was dirty and we had a bag so I just thought "hey why
don't we clean the park?" Haha so we started cleaning around and talked
and ended up talking to a guy who took missionary lessons like 15 years ago, we
really invited him to meet with the them missionaries but he wasn't very interested.
It was a good experience though. That next day was zone conference and that
went good. One of the missionaries that gave his departing testimony was just
so energized for the work and had a great love for his mission and that was
really inspiring and really pumped me up to get back to my area and work!
So then next day as part of zone conference
we were following up on how we used The Book of Mormon to share the blessings
that we see in our lives with others. It was really cool to see different ways
that the Book of Mormon has been helping others. Anziano Parker and I
want to find more scriptures that we can share with people we meet.
So we
wanted to ask you all, If you can find time to send us an email with your
favorite scripture and maybe a little way of how that scripture was an answer to your question
or just how it helped you. roman.ruiz@myldsmail.net
One verse that I
found myself using a bit recently is 2 Nephi 2:11 "For it must
needs be, that there is an opposition in all things." It seems that there
are many people that I talk to who claim that there is no God because of the
bad things in the world. For me I look it at it a bit different. When I see bad
in the world it’s a great sign to me that the adversary is definitely real and
bad. So as I take that with the knowledge that, how big and bad Satan might be
that God is greater; and his righteousness always has and always will over
power Satan. Light Always overrules and over powers darkness. Thanks to the
Book of Mormon we know that men are that they might have joy! We know that all
things are done in the wisdom of God who knoweth all things! I know that I can take
any hardship in my life and turn it around for the positive; I know this
because of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Sure it might be hard to
believe in a God when all we look at is the bad. It is when we start living the
Gospel of Jesus Christ we can take these bad things and turn them into to
manifestations of the the joy we receive from god and over all this reality. I
know that God is our eternal farther that we are his children are that he loves
us! He restored his Church for us, that we can have joy! I love this gospel so
much, I hope we can all find such joy.
Vi voglio bene!
